Geoffrey, a senior partner in the firm, has been a lawyer for twenty years. Geoffrey is ranked in Chambers and Partners 2020 Global Guide where he was described in the 2020 Guide as a, “very powerful advocate” with “great people skills,” who “cuts to the chase” while still being “a very listening individual.” He also receives praise for his strong business sense in both litigious and transactional matters.
Geoffrey co-heads the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department. He is an astute litigator, but still regularly advises both lenders and borrowers in complex cross-border financing transactions, receivers and liquidators in insolvency matters and companies in joint venture agreements, mergers and acquisitions. He has also been appointed to act as receiver by local financial institutions. He recently completed the LL.M Course (audited) in Advanced Corporate Insolvency Law with the University of the West Indies.
