Biography

Sardia is a partner in the firm and provides management oversight and support in relation to the firm’s contentious work.

She has over 14 years’ experience in civil practice in Saint Lucia. Although more routinely involved in the thrust and parry of litigation, Sardia also has considerable experience in diverse areas of the firm’s practice. She regularly advises on banking and commercial matters, employment law, and has experience in property law and conveyancing. She has worked with other team members on several mergers and acquisitions and on complex cross-border financing transactions. She routinely advises clients on real estate condominium law and insolvency matters. Noteworthy, was her recent engagement to act as receiver-manager on behalf of a local financial institution and her appointments as liquidator by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. She recently completed the LL.M Course (audited) in Advanced Corporate Insolvency Law with the University of the West Indies.

Prior to joining the firm, Sardia was employed on an international and environmental law project at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. She was thereafter engaged as a Judicial Research Assistant at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in Saint Lucia and enjoyed a stint as Acting Executive Legal Assistant to the Chief Justice.

She maintains an interest in environmental matters and routinely volunteers her time to support the work of local environment agencies.
